Google may develop AI in Poland to help the country’s power and security areas, according to a fresh document.
Google and Poland on Thursday signed a memorandum for developing the use of artificial intelligence ( AI ) in the country’s energy, cybersecurity, and other sectors.
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet and Google, stated that the company will dedicate$ 5 million ( €4.8 million ) over the next five years to expand training programs and improve the digital skills of one million young Poles.
Google will also be getting AI involved in Poland’s corporate areas, Pichai said.
Launched in 2014, Poland is currently Google’s biggest executive hub, Pichai continued, counting more than 2, 000 people.
Donald Tusk, the prime minister of Poland, claimed the plans will strengthen Poland’s surveillance and aid in the country’s economic growth.
Google and Microsoft are among the companies that pledged to invest roughly 650 billion zlotys ( €156 billion ) in Poland in 2025, according to Tusk earlier this week.
Tusk even urged Google to support the deregulation work in Poland, which aim to reduce bureaucracy and rules and give businesses more room for growth.
