The majority of businesses are at an operational or developing maturity stage, with only 19 % considered superior in securing their IT-OT techniques.
Usually, the responsibility for securing property has fallen to production professionals or technicians. But, Omdia reports that this duty is extremely shifting to security and IT leaders.
While this move reflects the fact that most situations in developing originate in IT, Omdia believes that the change is not happening fast enough. The company recommends that manufacturing companies appoint a” clear and inspired administrative with end-to-end role across IT and OT for global and regional sites”.
