Meta Examines the Ghana Partnership’s Agenda for AI, Cybersecurity, and Digital Inclusion.

To strengthen collaboration for Ghana’s modern transformation quest, Meta’s VP met with Ghana’s Minister to talk about AI, security, and digital inclusion.

Kojo Boakye, the Vice President for Public Policy, Africa, Middle East, and Turkiye at Meta Platforms Inc., greeted the Hon. Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Hon. Today, Samuel Nartey George ( MP ) speaks to the public about potential collaborations in Ghana’s journey of digital transformation.

Discussions arose at the meeting about how Meta can help Ghana’s online growth, especially in those relating to cybersecurity, digital inclusion, and innovation. Given Meta’s knowledge in current technologies and the popularity of Meta’s Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp in Ghana, the Minister looked into potential cooperation in these areas, related to Meta’s collaborations with other nations.

A significant discussion point was also made about the Minister’s desire to promote youth participation in the online sector and create a online inclusive economy.

The Minister’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for the growth of the online business makes partnerships with technology giants like Meta crucial as Ghana attempts to expand its digital transformation and close the modern gap.

Sade Dada, Anglophone West Africa’s Nose of Public Policy, was present at the meeting.
