On Wednesday, Thailand’s National Cyber Security Agency (NCA ) and made a strategic partnership to improve the country’s digital landscape’s cybersecurity resilience.
Google Cloud said in a statement that this collaboration will make use of artificial intelligence ( AI ) and intelligence-driven cyber defense, enabling public sector organizations and citizens to continue gaining from the benefits of digital transformation while protecting them from cybercrime and illegitimate cyberattacks.
The partnership between Google and the Royal Thai Government builds on previous efforts by Google and the Royal Thai Government to improve website protection for wireless users in Thailand.
Google also revealed on Wednesday that Google’s anti-scam feature, which was introduced in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society ( MDES ) in 2024, has so far blocked more than 6.6 million high-risk app installation attempts.
Google has also revealed enhanced wireless security measures to further defend Thai citizens against scammers ‘ social engineering schemes.
The announcements also strengthen the government’s and Google’s continued efforts to advance Thailand’s online competitiveness and promote AI development.

NCSA intends to use Google Cloud Cybershield, a tool that combines danger intelligence, AI, technology, and analytics, to centrally monitor security events across public sector organizations, according to the statement.
The national cyber defense center of NCSA, the Thailand Computer Emergency Response Team ( ThaiCERT), will have a more effective and coordinated approach to potential cyber threats aimed at government organizations and crucial national infrastructure.
The partnership will also include experience in incident response and threat intelligence.
Beyond regional cyber defense, the collaboration will improve personal user safety online.
To protect Thai citizens and residents from virtual scams and phishing sites, NCSA and Google Cloud intend to incorporate Google Cloud Web Risk into state processes.
Thailand’s digital economy is projected to grow from$ 46 billion in 2024 to at least$ 100 billion by 2030.
