Next-generation AI for self-driving vehicles and shop robotics are being worked on by Nvidia and GM as partners.

The chipmaker’s list of auto partners was increased to include another significant carmaker at Nvidia’s ( NVDA ) GTC event.

For future advanced driver-assistance systems ( ADAS ) and in-cabin enhanced safety driving experiences, ( ) will specifically use Nvidia’s DRIVE AGX hardware system for in-vehicle hardware.

Huang added that the businesses will collaborate on developing customized AI systems using Nvidia platforms like Nvidia Omniverse and Nvidia Cosmos to improve GM’s mill planning and robotics.

Toyota ( ), the largest automaker in the world, will begin utilizing the company’s DRIVE AGX Orin chip and the Nvidia DriveOS operating system to power advanced driver-assistance features in its next-generation vehicles starting last month.
