Leaders of remote hospitals and clinics are optimistic about the future, with the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic behind them, according to Wipfli’s” State of rural care” record for 2025. The report emphasizes important developments and objectives among rural care organizations, based on a nationwide survey of C-level executives.

Leaders are focusing on profits marketing despite the fact that organizations are doing better with workforce shortages. To help offset a shrinking labour pool, many are beginning to use Artificial equipment. In fact, 32 % of rural healthcare leaders are already using AI tools to increase operational efficiency.

” Rural medical institutions have come out of COVID and managed to solve the staffing issue. But costs are mounting, so they’re focusing on revenue-generating activities, like increasing payouts”, said Kelly Arduino, a partner in Wipfli’s care consulting practice.

Due to a threefold rise in community breaches over the past year, cybersecurity has become a top priority for leaders. In a survey of leaders, 56 % reported having raised significant cybersecurity concerns, an increase from 50 % in the previous year, which has resulted in planned investments in digital applications, AI tools, and network security protections over the next year.

Nathan Sundheimer, a digital strategist for Wipfli, commented on the security results. The dramatic rise in attacks over the past year has hit “home,” says one expert who has been discussing computer for several years.

Based on responses from C-level executives at remote healthcare institutions across the United States, the study was created. The complete remote medical report can be found on&nbsp, Wipfli’s site.
