By Hodine Williams ( February 25, 2025, 2: 01 PM EST )– In the fast evolving world of artificial intelligence ( AI), the race for supremacy is no longer simply about technological development. It’s about politics, morals and legal systems. Part one of this series ( see below for link ) looked at China’s AI offensive: the creation of DeepSeek, and the West’s pushback. In Part 2, DeepSeek and Western AI platforms were compared, and it also looked at the reasons why Professor Uri Gal of the University of Sydney Business School claimed the method of data collecting used to teach Western platforms ChatGPT was dangerous. The section concluded by stating that ChatGPT’s features would not have been possible without the use of our information, which was obtained and used without our consent.
